6. Data Retention

6.1 Active Account Data

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active
  • Project Data: Retained indefinitely until you manually delete it or close your account
  • Task History: Complete task history and edits preserved while account is active
  • Time Tracking Data: All time tracking records retained indefinitely
  • Attachments: Files and media stored until manually deleted

6.2 Subscription Downgrade & Archived Data

IMPORTANT: Subscription downgrades do NOT delete your data.

When you downgrade from Premium to Free or Enterprise to Premium:

  • Archived Projects: Projects exceeding your tier limit are archived (read-only) but NOT deleted
    • Free tier: First 5 projects active, rest archived
    • Premium tier: First 25 projects active, rest archived
  • Archived Data Retention: Archived projects are preserved indefinitely
  • Full Data Access: You retain read-only access to all archived project data
  • Reactivation: Archived projects immediately reactivate when you resubscribe
  • Manual Deletion: You can manually delete archived projects anytime from Settings

What is NOT Deleted on Downgrade:

  • ✅ Projects (archived but accessible)
  • ✅ Tasks and subtasks
  • ✅ Notes and comments
  • ✅ Time tracking history
  • ✅ Attachments and files
  • ✅ Achievement progress
  • ✅ Analytics history

What Changes on Downgrade:

  • Team collaboration features disabled (team members can no longer access shared projects)
  • Premium features (calendar sync, advanced analytics) are disabled
  • New feature creation restricted to tier limits

6.3 Account Deletion

  • Deleted Accounts: Data permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
  • Grace Period: 7-day cancellation window after initiating account deletion
  • Confirmation Required: We send confirmation email before final deletion
  • Backups: Backup copies retained for 30 days after deletion, then permanently purged
  • Irreversible: Account deletion cannot be undone after the 30-day period

6.4 Other Data Retention

  • Analytics: Anonymized usage data retained for up to 2 years for service improvement
  • Crash Logs: Retained for 90 days to diagnose and fix technical issues
  • Support Tickets: Retained for 3 years for customer service quality and legal compliance
  • Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law or regulatory obligations

7. Children’s Privacy

The Pre-Work App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this app or provide any information.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we have information from a child under 13, please contact us.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.
